You have a strong background in Planning, Highways, or environmental law, and possess excellent advocacy skills. Your ability to express logical and persuasive opinions, coupled with an understanding of Local Government law, will be crucial in this role. What the Job Involves The role involves assisting in delivering efficient legal services to various departments, including the Planning, Highways, and Specialist Planning Teams. Key responsibilities include conducting cases in civil and criminal courts, drafting legal documents, instructing counsel, advising committees, and providing legal training. You will engage with new legislation, manage complex caseloads, and suggest service improvements. Representing the Council at various inquiries and ensuring compliance with legal systems are also essential parts of this job.
