Job Summary
Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join its team at Cliveden Manor Care Home in Marlow. The role supports the Head Chef in providing high‑quality culinary services to residents. This permanent, full‑time position offers a salary of £15.00 per hour with flexible shift hours.
Shift Details
07:00-15:00 / 11:30-19:30
Responsibilities
* Prepare modified diets that look appealing, are well-balanced, and align with IDDSI guidance.
* Supervise and direct culinary staff, providing instruction and demonstration to unqualified staff on simple food preparation activities.
* Apply safe food handling principles to ensure all kitchen activities meet the highest hygiene standards.
* Support culinary team members in fully understanding and following the Avery Food Safety Management System.
* Assist the Head Chef in leading the culinary team and ensuring residents receive balanced, high‑quality meals.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene within budget constraints.
* Support the Head Chef in managing a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high‑quality culinary service.
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant catering qualification (City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent).
* Have a minimum of 1 year of catering experience.
* Demonstrate compassion and a commitment to delivering high‑quality culinary services to residents.
* Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Other Requirements
* Requires ADBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Legal and Compliance
