GIS Support Engineer - Smallworld

We are looking for a highly skilled Customer Support Engineer with an understanding of GE Smallworld GIS products. In this role, you’ll work closely with customers in a mission-critical, enterprise environment, supporting complex GIS implementations and ensuring platform stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise-scale Smallworld GIS applications.
* Analyze and resolve complex customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and high customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose root causes, deliver fixes, and enhance system reliability.
* Install and configure Smallworld suites, including patches, updates, and third-party components.
* Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous service improvement.
* Participate in on-call rotation and handle after-hours support when necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with GE Smallworld technologies: PNI, Core (SW4/SW5), EO, GDO, GTO, GSS, GSA, DM, MES, NRM, K8.
* Strong proficiency in Magik, Java, VMDS, Oracle.
* Solid grasp of SQL, shell scripting, system log analysis, and debugging techniques.
* Proven experience installing and configuring operating system patches, third-party software, and GE Smallworld product suites.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to customer support.
