Student/Academic Engagement and Wellbeing Coach - Delta Bespoke, part of Delta Education Trust. 37 hours per week, Term Time Only, Permanent.
£27,814 to £31,688 per annum, pro rata to £23,802 to £27,117 per annum for term time only working, plus a generous pension and sick pay scheme.
Due to expansion, we’re looking for multiple Coaches to cover different areas including the New Forest, Portsmouth, and the wider Dorset area, so a full driving licence with business insurance is essential.
Please note: Student allocation will be based on your location to limit the amount of travel.
As an Engagement & Wellbeing Coach, you’ll be the friendly, steady, and supportive presence our students need. You’ll meet them at home or out in the community, helping them rebuild confidence, develop emotional literacy, and re-engage with learning.
It’s a role where no two days are the same - one day you might be encouraging a student to try something new, the next you’re helping them plan a positive transition back into school or college. Always, you’ll be making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
1. Be the trusted 1:1 coach students need, meeting them at home or in the community to help them re-engage with learning.
2. Help students boost their confidence, self-esteem, and emotional literacy so they feel ready to take on new challenges.
3. Encourage attendance and keep students motivated, even on challenging days.
4. Keep an eye on emotional and engagement progress, celebrating successes and identifying when extra support is needed.
5. Work closely with families, schools, and the Delta team to ensure everyone’s on the same page.
6. Create and adapt strategies to help students overcome barriers and achieve their personal goals.
7. Support transitions back into school, college, or other next steps, ensuring students feel prepared and supported.
8. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and complete any necessary paperwork for schools or external agencies.
9. Always prioritize safeguarding, following Delta Bespoke policies to keep students safe and supported.
