Graduate Laboratory Technician – Metals Analysis Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Start your career with a hands-on role in scientific discovery and innovation. About the Role Are you a recent graduate in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline looking to launch your career in a fast-paced, high-integrity laboratory? This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in a lab committed to analytical excellence and environmental responsibility. What You’ll Do Carry out quantitative analysis of metals using industry-standard methods. Work efficiently to deliver accurate results within set timelines. Collaborate with experienced scientists and technicians in a team-focused environment. Keep clear and accurate laboratory records and documentation. Follow strict health, safety, and environmental protocols at all times. Help maintain stock of lab chemicals and consumables. Contribute to the lab's culture of continuous improvement and high-quality work. What We’re Looking For A recent degree (or final-year student) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related subject. A keen interest in laboratory work and scientific analysis. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks. Good communication and teamwork skills. Enthusiasm to learn and apply Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and health and safety standards. Some knowledge or coursework related to wet chemistry, pyrometallurgy, or lab analysis techniques (a plus, not essential). Familiarity with tools like Excel or data analysis software is useful.
