About the job The Food and Water division here at Alfa Laval UK&I are looking for a distribution manager join our team, responsible for support and develop existing and new partners on our distribution way to market, identifying business opportunities within the market of Alfa Laval Hygienic Fluid Handling (HFH) and Food Heat Transfer (FHT) products, services and applications. Engaging with our distribution network from authorised to master across UK & Ireland and supporting them on daily tasks, customer service and business plan development, both short and long term. The role will require someone that provides a superior customer experience, drives growth and increases our market share. This will be a home-based role and the successful candidate will have a full driving licence as travel will be frequent in the UK&I. Key tasks include: Following established sales processes and guidelines to promote and support the sell of Alfa Laval HFH and FHT Product and services via out distribution network Develop and follow up long and short terms business plans in conjunction with our distribution network Implement our CRM system with channels and manage leads to our distribution network Manage segmentation, distribution tiers, benefits and qualifiers for distributors Maintain and develop a good mutual beneficial relationship with our channel network Update and modify contracts according to new levels or changes to be implemented Prioritize channel orders and liaise with the central organization to support delivery on time Manage communication to and from our central organisation Build, coordinate and asses competence development plans with our distribution sales network Identify key factors of growth and implement if the channel business plan Lead and inspire our channel network Scope and scout for new channels based on market gaps Provide and analyse monthly channel reports and address low performance Responsible for our local BRP management system and channel tools Who you are? You are a Process or Mechanical engineering graduate or equivalent. You have a solid track record and experience in direct sales. You have good technical knowledge and expertise in at least one of these areas: Hygienic pumps, valves and tank equipment. Knowledge on key industries of Dairy, Food, Pharma, Home & Personal care is advantageous, likewise; experience in using our sizing and selection tool.
