Enabling the Structures Manufacturing Engineering community to progress to the next level, a requirement has emerged for a highly competent Assembly Specialist. This role will be required to: Act as the focal point/SME on-site with regards to Assembly processes, with a need to utilise the expertise within the wider Safran group via networking with the Specialist/Expert community. Maximise the capability of the existing production method via identification of improvement opportunities. Work closely with the Production and Quality departments to, define, implement and maintain assembly processes used in the manufacture of large aircraft nacelle structures (Thrust Reversers and Fan Cowl Doors). Ensure world-class, financially sustainable processes are established .These could be fully-automated, semi-automated or entirely manual assembly processes. Effectively manage all assembly process risks associated with HSE, capability, capacity and finance. Ensure that effective process planning is in place to support manufacture across multiple assembly lines, taking into account the different production constraints of rate and Takt time. Define, implement and maintain capable processes, proven via the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
