About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive secondary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.
You will work closely with students who have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom. This will include 1:1 support, working in small groups, and assisting within whole-class settings alongside teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support to students with SEN, adapting approaches to suit individual needs.
* Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour management strategies.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
* Foster a calm, inclusive and nurturing environment that promotes learning and emotional wellbeing.
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and relevant staff.

What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (Essential).
* A calm, warm, and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
* Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude.

Desirable:
* Experience supporting students in a secondary school environment.
* Knowledge of strategies to support Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
