Role Overview
The Group Reporting Accountant is responsible for ensuring all aspects of Group statutory and consolidated financial reporting are completed within prescribed timescales. You will support the Head of Group Reporting in developing financial controls and compliance, and assist in integrating new acquisitions into the Group's reporting processes.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and submit consolidated monthly management accounts for the Group (UK & International).
2. Lead external audit processes, including year-end disclosure packs, technical papers, and management accounts analysis for tax purposes. Coordinate with the management accounting team to meet deadlines and adhere to the Group timetable.
3. Manage data collation and lead the preparation of Group statutory accounts and other financial reports, contributing to board and bank reporting, and covenant calculations.
4. Review the Group's monthly consolidated results, explaining variances versus budget and prior year.
5. Deliver monthly capital accounting, reporting, and tracking against business case, budget, and forecast. Systematize fixed asset registers and capex workflows.
6. Develop and implement financial controls for the Group, engaging with finance and business teams. Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure control effectiveness.
7. Handle other deliverables requiring management accounts information, such as National Statistics returns and reports to private equity.
8. Oversee accounting for the Group's holding companies.
9. Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects, including acquisition integration into Group financials.

The Offer
* Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire (Hybrid - 3 days on site).
* 10% annual bonus scheme.
* Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
