Are you an experienced clinician excited to work during times of transformative change? Are you experienced or have a keen interest in working with neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD) and other complex needs? If so, we have the role for you! We’re looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our school in Ramsbottom at Rossendale School.
The post involves progressing SaLT specific therapeutic services for young people diagnosed with autism, as part of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Worker, Creative Therapists, and School Counsellor.
This role requires a holistic and integrated approach to education and clinical services, with responsibilities including staff training, consultation, and reflective practice. It is suited for resilient, enthusiastic individuals with a therapeutic approach and good decision-making skills.
About Rossendale School: It provides education for young people aged 7-18 with autism and related social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, offering an academic curriculum within a nurturing environment.
The role requires a driving license due to the school's location. The successful candidate will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans, making a real difference through a holistic therapeutic approach.
Candidate requirements include a recognized Speech and Language qualification, HCPC registration, relevant experience working with the target client group, and experience in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings. Clear, concise report writing skills are essential.
