We are now seeking a motivated IT Support Technician Apprentice to join our Central Services team. This is a Level 3 apprenticeship where you’ll develop hands‑on skills in first‑line support, system troubleshooting, and user support across multiple school sites. You’ll learn on the job—answering support tickets, installing and configuring software/hardware, and assisting with device deployments.
A Typical Day in the Job:
* Assist in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ICT systems, hardware, and peripherals (e.g., laptops, PCs, printers, and audio-visual equipment).
* Monitor and respond to IT support requests via the ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk), prioritising tasks for timely resolution.
* Support software installations, upgrades, and deployments across trust sites.
* Assist in maintaining data security, including network security and antivirus measures.
* Identify and resolve common software and hardware issues.
* Monitor system backups and assist with disaster recovery processes.
* Gain experience managing Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
* A Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and Grade 5/C in English
* IT Qualification or experience in Office 365 / Cisco
* Experience in customer service or technical support (e.g., part-time, volunteering, or school-based roles)
* Knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, or Cisco systems
