We are seeking a motivated individual to join as an Apprentice Tool Hire Controller at our Chesterfield depot. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn about the tool hire industry, develop skills, and start a career in a dynamic environment.
As an Apprentice Hire Controller, you will study the Level 2 Hire Controller apprenticeship, which takes around 15 months. You will receive training and mentorship to handle hire/off-hire, repair, maintenance, and transportation of the company's small plant and tools fleet.
* Support with managing hire desk activities, ensuring adherence to company policies and performance targets
* Assist in setting up new hire contracts and creating quotes within parameters
* Support negotiations on hire costs
* Respond to calls and emails promptly
* Help resolve customer questions and issues
* Report risks or issues to managers
* Maintain accurate records and utilize systems effectively
* Liaise with accounts, workshop, and transport teams to ensure efficient operations
* Assist in sourcing tools not available in depot
* Provide management information and reports as needed
Customer Relationships & Account Management
* Build and maintain customer relationships
* Utilize and update the CRM system regularly
* Develop relationships with providers, partners, and suppliers
* Advise and support customers regarding products and services
* Understand customers’ business and objectives
* Collaborate closely with the Sales Team
