Job Details

Location: Poole, Dorset

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm, Friday 7:30am-1:00pm

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a thriving manufacturing company in Poole. You will be part of a friendly team of three, responsible for providing excellent customer service and updating clients on project progress. The role requires confident communication skills, the ability to spark conversations, and drive sales inquiries. You will manage your own customer accounts and represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions to enhance brand awareness and forge new relationships.


Key Responsibilities

1. Build relationships with new and existing customers
2. Respond to customer inquiries regarding sales, stock, progress, and pricing
3. Attend trade shows, represent the company, and liaise with businesses and potential customers
4. Engage with potential customers at trade shows and via phone to identify upcoming projects and offer services
5. Provide quotations
6. Load sales orders into the system
7. Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and other departments for updates and timelines
8. Handle general office administration including updating internal databases


Ideal Candidate Profile

* Experience handling sales inquiries and delivering excellent service
* Experience managing customer accounts
* Proactive in building new customer relationships and driving new business
* Cheerful and friendly disposition
* Strong relationship-building skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook


Additional Information

This position offers excellent opportunities for progression and development. It requires a self-motivated individual passionate about career success. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week, with early finishes on Friday.
