Overview
The Principal Product Engineer is responsible for advancing operational execution and accelerating growth through engineering projects across all Product Value Streams globally for Pall Medical. This position reports to the Senior Manager Medical Product Engineering and is part of the Pall Medical Product Engineering Team, located in Newquay, Cornwall and will be an on-site role.
What You Will Do
* Control the transition of NPI/NPD projects from product design freeze to manufacturing at scale, extending the product life cycle through construction, material and manufacturing process upgrades, VAVE, and continuous improvements within the guidelines of an ISO13485 and ISO9001 compliant Quality Management System
* As a Subject Matter Expert, carry out relevant documentation approvals for product release, risk assessment and change control, in accordance with Cytiva procedures
* Communicate effectively with Suppliers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Regulatory, R&D and SLS associates as required, providing multi-disciplinary team leadership ensuring that projects are progressed to plan
* Lead and provide support for problem solving to effectively close performance gaps by getting to the true root cause and implementing effective, sustainable countermeasures
* Use coaching and mentoring best practices to develop Product Engineering Associates and others in the Pall Medical Technology Team
Who You Are
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
* Several years’ experience in Life Science oriented industrial company or similarly regulated industry
* Demonstrated project management skills
* Green belt / 6 sigma certification, or DBS equivalent
* Experience of product lifecycle management within a regulated industry
