You will work closely with the Head of Department to help lead Religious Studies across the school, support curriculum development, and inspire students to think critically about religion, ethics, philosophy, and the wider world.
About the Role
As Second in Religious Studies, you will:
* Teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experience
* Support the Head of Department with curriculum planning and departmental development
* Help monitor student progress, teaching standards, and outcomes within the department
* Deliver engaging lessons that encourage discussion, curiosity, and critical thinking
* Support students in achieving strong academic results
* Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as debate clubs, trips, guest speakers, and themed events
* Help maintain high expectations, strong behaviour standards, and a love of learning
