Exciting Opportunity for a Project Manager. We are searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our talented team based in Peterborough. To lead and manage assigned aftermarket projects for the overhaul, revamp, installation, and modernisation of rotating equipment. Taking full responsibility for the entire project process, from solution quotation / estimating through to onsite implementation and or installation. At all times ensuring alignment with client expectations and agreed sales margin targets. This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. What Needs To Be Done? - Establish and maintain strong relationships with sales colleagues, project managers and our clients, understanding their requirements and providing substantiated, underpinned and appropriately accurate, timely estimates for their pursuits and projects. - Review, analyse and produce project documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and scope of works, to generate comprehensive and competitive quotation proposals. - Financial oversight: Review and analyse company expenditure, financial, and operation reports to determine requirements needed for increasing/insuring profitability. Coordinate with operational personnel to ensure total project(s) budgets are met. Maintain the project(s) deadlines, budget and costs. Review with appropriate personnel the requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within limits of projects. - Ensure the safe conduct of all activities within the scope of the project. Ensuring all company and customer safety policies and procedures followed and embraced to promote and enhance a safe working environment. - Communicate with customer and their representatives on progress and work scope changes capturing customer approval for any changes or additions. Where required prepare quotations and cost make-ups for the same. - Ensure that suppliers and sub-contractors perform as agreed and comply with all requirements. - Ensure the Company fully understands the customer requirements and resolve any gaps between requirements and potential solutions. To be successful you must have - You need to be highly responsive with a customer focused attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrable track record of strong project management skills on complex engineering projects. - Time served engineer with at least a HNC/HND in an engineering discipline. - Good technical knowledge of similar products and the processes to manufacture them. - Excellent interpersonal communication and written skills. - Calm when under pressure. - Strong commercial acumen and able/willing to take balanced commercial risks where appropriate. - Excellent negotiator. - Ability to lead and manage people that are not direct reports. - Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and the use of ERP systems.
