Overview
CNC Setter Operator: Turning. This role offers growth within a new machining department setting and operating CNC Turning machines. If you value your skills, contributions, and potential, this is the role for you.
Location: Stockport. Working hours: 07:00–15:00, Monday to Friday, and 07:00–12:00 Friday. Pay: £19.22 per hour plus overtime.

What you will do
* Operate and set CNC turning machines, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to deliver high-quality components that meet exact requirements.
* Conduct Start of Work machine inspections and report faults or unusual occurrences using approved procedures.
* Measure, examine, and inspect components using precision instruments such as micrometers and verniers to ensure conformance to specifications.
* Input production tickets onto SAP on task completion and assist in training semi-skilled machinists or new starters as needed.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area while upholding the company’s Environmental Health and Safety policies.
What you will bring
* Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with expertise in running CNC turning machines.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and adapting positively to changing conditions.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate across all levels of the business.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering/Machining or a machining apprenticeship.
