Position Overview:
Working within an industry-leading organization at Finning, the world's largest CAT dealership, your role as Rebuild Repair Engineer involves carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products and supporting 2nd life overhauls within the Construction Equipment product group.
We seek a highly experienced and motivated individual with strong electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting skills, suited for a large workshop environment, responsible for repairing and maintaining CAT machinery.
Job Description:
As a Finning Engineer, you will receive:

Based in one of Finning’s workshops, your role will ensure products operate to standards and meet customer requirements.
Major Job Functions:
1. Conduct detailed inspections to assess repairs and refurbishments.
2. Perform diagnostic tests for cost evaluation and warranty assessments.
3. Prepare parts and materials list for machine preparation.
4. Overhaul, repair, or refurbish machines per work plan, including component removal and reinstallation.
5. Inspect and test machines post-repair to ensure performance standards.

Adhere to job times, ensure quality, maintain machine availability, and uphold SHEQ standards for safety and cleanliness.
Education and Experience:
* Background in plant machinery, HGV, or agriculture industries preferred.
* Apprentice-trained or minimum 5 years' experience in a similar service environment.
* Valid reach truck license required.
* Experience operating construction equipment and mechanical fitting on large machines.
