Job description We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised, and pro-active individual to join our Production team as a Production Controller.This role reports to the Production Manager and is to assist the team in bringing in orders on schedule, on budget, and to the highest production standards.You will work closely with sales, design and editorial colleagues as well as our customers and suppliers in a small but very busy environment where no two projects are the same. iSeek Ltd are a long-established creator and publisher of highly illustrated books for children aged 2-10 years - everything from activity books to pop-ups. We are passionate about producing outstanding books and related learning products to engage and entertain our readers around the world. We have a strong work ethos and a long track record of creating fabulous books for the international co-edition market, direct to retail and also with a new UK trade list.You will have: - a degree or equivalent - solid book production experience in a publishing environment - children’s colour trade experience desirable but not essential - superb organisational skills - an exacting eye for detail whilst working at pace - strong numeracy skills - strong, clear and concise communication skills to liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers - an enthusiastic, flexible and collaborative approach - the ability to keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines This post is based at iSeek’s office near Brighton, very close to the A23 at Hickstead and all of our staff drive to work.We’re a Mac-based company and the successful applicant will be expected to be able to use all the usual office applications.This is a five day per week in-office post.Please note that this role is specifically for book production - designers, editors, illustrators or authors need not apply. Salary: From £27,000 depending on experience.
