PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Due to an exciting period of growth, Marine Specialised Technology Limited is seeking to employ a Project Manager at their Bromborough site. The role involves providing expertise and leading various projects. The Project Manager will coordinate with multiple departments from initial concept through to production and delivery, ensuring technical specifications, timescales, budgets, and quality standards are met. Technical knowledge and marine experience are essential, and candidates must demonstrate relevant skills and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Taking ownership of all tasks within the project.
2. Assisting in planning before and during projects.
3. Monitoring project performance and providing input where possible.
4. Reviewing staffing, budgets, and project schedules ongoingly.
5. Liaising among different departments, e.g., senior management and suppliers.
6. Offering support to other departments and managers.
7. Being responsible to the customer for the success of the economic and technical planning, implementation, delivery, and completion of a project.
COMPETENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Minimum of 2 years marine experience in project management, with excellent planning and monitoring skills.
* Ability to grasp the MST ethos and product range.
* Attention to detail to ensure high performance and quality standards.
* Excellent communication skills with team members, directors, and clients.
* Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Extensive experience in project delivery, from defining specifications based on customer requirements to operational delivery.
* Understanding of HR and Quality policies within a manufacturing workshop.
This role is ideally suited for an individual with strong mechanical, engineering, and commercial skills. The candidate should be a multi-tasker with excellent organisational and logistical skills, keen attention to detail, and preferably from a marine background understanding marine construction and its pitfalls.
