Secondment Opportunity (12 months) Palliative Care Consultant This 12 month secondment opportunity is ideal for experienced clinicians seeking to broaden their leadership and clinical consultancy experience, contribute at an organisational level, and support excellence in palliative and end‑of‑life care across Baptistcare. About the Role The Palliative Care Consultant provides organisation‑wide leadership, specialist guidance and clinical consultancy in palliative and end‑of‑life care. The role supports Baptistcare employees to deliver consistent, person‑centred, evidence‑based care that meets and exceeds the Quality and Safety Standards and contemporary best practice. Working in partnership with Residential Managers, clinical teams and senior leaders, the Consultant strengthens palliative care capability, governance, education and quality improvement across services. About You This acting / secondment opportunity would suit Registered Nurses who have: Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and relevant postgraduate qualifications. Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated leadership in palliative and end‑of‑life care Strong skills in education, coaching and mentoring Sound understanding of aged care legislation, standards and accreditation requirements Well‑developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills Capacity to travel across Baptistcare homes as required Experience in education development or training delivery is desirable.
