The Surveillance Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises. This position involves monitoring surveillance systems, identifying suspicious activities, and ensuring loss prevention measures are effectively implemented. The ideal candidate will possess keen observational skills and a proactive approach to security.
Responsibilities
* Monitor CCTV systems to observe and record activities within designated areas.
* Identify and report any suspicious behaviour or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
* Conduct regular checks of surveillance equipment to ensure proper functionality.
* Collaborate with loss prevention teams to develop strategies for minimising theft and other security breaches.
* Maintain accurate logs of surveillance activities and incidents for future reference.
* Assist in training new staff on surveillance protocols and procedures.
* Respond promptly to alarms or alerts, assessing situations as they arise.
Skills
* Proficient in the use of CCTV technology and surveillance equipment.
* Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
* Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
* Knowledge of first aid is advantageous, enabling prompt response in emergency situations.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £15.69-£18.87 per hour
