Job Summary:
As a Health & Safety Technician Apprentice at Honeywell, in Southend, you will learn how to keep us safe and secure at work, by meeting both legal and company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, this includes exciting responsibilities such as supporting Health & Safety inspections, recycling programs and environmental & sustainability projects/initiatives and working alongside the Health & Safety Manager.
This role is part of our Early Careers Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for four years, starting from August 2026.

Honeywell will provide you with the courses to gain industry recognised Health, Safety and Environment, apprenticeship qualifications alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits. This apprenticeship is a mixture of academic and practical onsite learning.
You will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:
1. Assisting in carrying our risk assessments, safety audits / inspections and inductions
2. Supporting with compliance and implementation of safety procedures
3. Assisting with actions management and incident investigations as well as root cause analysis
4. Organise meetings and taking minutes during Sr HSE Meetings and HSE Committees
5. Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of HSE metrics and incidents trends analysis to identify areas for improvement
6. Help developing safety awareness campaigns - safety talks, safety messages, posters etc.
Key skills and qualifications:
7. Experience working in MS Office, (word, Excel, PowerPoint), (this could be from your personal life, a workplace or your studies)
8. A passion for pursuing a career in Health, Safety & Environment
9. A minimum of GCSE a C / level 4 grade in Maths and English
10. Can commute with ease to the Southend office
11. Business level English written and spoken language skills, with the confidence to present face to face to Senior Management
