Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant passionate about making a difference in the life of a child with autism?
We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North London seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with autism on a full-time, long-term basis.
This role is ideal for someone patient, proactive, and genuinely motivated to help children thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role
Provide 1:1/Group support for pupils with autism in a nurturing mainstream classroom.
Implement personalised learning activities to develop communication, independence, and social skills.
Encourage engagement through curriculum-based play, sensory exploration, and creative learning.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals (e.g. Speech and Language Therapists).
Foster confidence, routine, and positive peer interaction.The Ideal Candidate
Experience as an LSA, TA, or SEN Support Worker.
Confident supporting pupils with autism and communication needs.
Calm, nurturing, and adaptable in your approach.
