A specialist independent school in the Tonbridge area is seeking caring, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join its growing SEMH provision. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to build a rewarding career supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a nurturing and therapeutic educational environment.

The school supports pupils aged approximately 8–18 with SEMH needs, alongside additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and communication difficulties, and associated learning needs. The setting is recognised for its small class sizes, strong pastoral support and personalised approach to education.


The Opportunity

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and therapists to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities may include:

* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Helping students regulate emotions and engage positively in learning
* Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning
* Building strong, consistent and positive relationships
* Supporting behaviour through encouragement, structure and patience
* Promoting independence, confidence and self-esteem

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
