This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and analytically minded Group Management Accountant to join Safetykleen’s head office finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
This role is ideal for a qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and driving insight across a business. You’ll play a key role in supporting central functions, delivering high-quality reporting, and improving financial processes in a fast-paced, international environment.
You won’t just be producing numbers - you’ll be working closely with department heads and senior stakeholders to ensure meaningful financial insight drives better decision-making.

What you’ll be doing
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role across management reporting, business partnering and financial control
Management Reporting & Performance
Produce and maintain monthly management accounts for central functions
Deliver insightful analysis on cost performance, trends and variances
Provide meaningful reporting to budget holders to support decision-making
Review head office costs and headcount, identifying risks and opportunities
Budgeting & Forecasting
Manage the annual budget process for central functions
Prepare periodic reforecasts and ongoing financial plans
Track performance against budget and provide clear variance analysis
Financial Control & Accounting
Maintain fixed asset register and oversee depreciation
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Manage intercompany balances and support cash and treasury processes
Support year-end reporting and respond to external audit queries
Prepare statistical returns and ensure accuracy of financial data
Systems, Data & Process Improvement
Support reporting through the Group’s general ledger and Hyperion system
Assist with Hyperion uploads and disclosures
Improve processes to enhance data quality, timeliness and control
Contribute to finance transformation and ad hoc projects
Who we’re looking for
You’ll likely be:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
Experienced in a management accounting or similar finance role
Comfortable working with monthly reporting cycles and senior stakeholders
Strong in Excel, with experience using financial systems (Hyperion/ERP advantageous)
And importantly, you are:
Commercially aware – you understand how financial data supports business decisions
Collaborative – you work effectively across teams and functions
Detail-oriented – you ensure accuracy while meeting deadlines
Proactive – you take ownership and drive improvements
A strong communicator – able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
