Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinically focused and motivated pharmacist to join the clinical pharmacy team at Raigmore Hospital. This role supports pharmacy services within medical, surgical, and women & children’s departments, including rotations in gastroenterology, respiratory, general surgery, acute medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, critical care, paediatrics, neonates, renal, and elderly care.
The position offers the chance to develop clinical skills and support lead pharmacists in various specialties such as rheumatology, neurology, dermatology, antimicrobials, maternity, diabetes/endocrinology, and high dependency units. Rotations are tailored to training needs and service demands, with supervision and support from experienced pharmacists.
The successful candidate will assist in training pharmacy students, trainees, and junior staff. Opportunities for involvement in quality improvement projects, audits, and governance groups are available.
Applicants should be registered pharmacists with a Masters Degree in Pharmacy and relevant post-registration experience. Post-graduate qualifications such as a Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy and Independent Prescribing are desirable and can be facilitated within the role. The department prioritizes education and supports pharmacists in achieving RPS Core Advanced credentialing.
