The starting salary for this role is £27,318 per annum, working 18 hours per week.
We are excited to be hiring a permanent, part-time Assistant Team Manager to join our fantastic Mid Surrey Mental Health Team based at Pippbrook house in Dorking, supporting residents across the local boroughs of Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley. This role is open to hybrid working and as a team we split our time between collaborating with colleagues in the office, working within the communities we serve, and working from home.

About The Role
As an Assistant Team Manager you will demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to applying our duties under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act in the communities we serve. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who can support decision making implemented by senior social workers, social workers, social care assistants and AMHPs within the team.
We are a supportive and friendly team where members feel valued. Together we have a wealth of mental health knowledge and experience and there is a strong emphasis on learning and development which is promoted via regular supervision, team meetings and reflection sessions. Experience supervising others, developing effective relationships with partner agencies, service users and carers is required for this role.
As an Assistant Team Manager you will be managing and supporting the day-to-day running of a busy, dynamic mental health social care team and prioritising daily challenges effectively. You will benefit from a structured induction programme.
Your Application
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with
10. Professional qualification in social work and registered with the relevant registration authority
11. Significant post-qualification experience, including experience providing formal supervision to others
12. Excellent knowledge of our duties under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act
13. Confidence in making sound decisions that respond flexibly and quickly to changing needs and the ability to prioritise daily challenges
14. Ability to develop effective partner relationships with service users, carers and partner agencies.
Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
