Job Title: Structural Engineer
Salary: £36,000 - £45,000
Location: Central London
We’re working with an established consultancy in Central London that’s looking to hire an Intermediate Structural Engineer. They’ve got a strong reputation and a steady flow of interesting projects from high-end homes and commercial buildings to heritage refurbishments. The team is supportive, down-to-earth, and genuinely cares about good quality design.
About the role:
You’ll be joining a close-knit and experienced design team, working on a wide range of building structures. In this role you will get to contribute across all project stages, from early concept and detailed analysis through to client meetings and (depending on your experience) running your own smaller schemes.
It’s a great opportunity to expand your skills, work closely with Chartered Engineers, and build towards a more senior role.
Key responsibilities:
* Producing structural designs across concrete, steel, timber and masonry
* Supporting senior engineers on larger projects and taking the lead on smaller ones
* Attending design team meetings and liaising with architects and other consultants
* Assisting with site inspections and report writing where needed
* Contributing to a positive, solutions-focused team culture
Required skills and experience:
* Around 3–5 years’ experience working in UK consultancy
* Solid design knowledge in the main structural materials (steel and concrete essential)
* Comfortable using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, and AutoCAD
* Keen to progress, learn and take on more responsibility over time
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
