Job Title: Clinical Support Worker - District Nursing
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to work within our District Nursing teams. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and carry out routine care for patients under the supervision of District Nurses or Registered Nurses. Excellent communication skills, including effective written communication and a good working knowledge of IT systems, are essential.
The role includes various clinical skills such as venipuncture, medication administration, catheter care, and other clinical investigations, which you will perform without supervision following relevant training. You will also care for palliative and end-of-life patients in their homes.
You will support other team members, including staff nurses and student nurses, and carry out duties to meet patients' needs, ensuring appropriate care.
Ability to work independently and refer to registered professionals when necessary is required. Lone working is part of this role, and you must be willing and able to travel throughout the service area.
