Civil / Structural Engineer
Our client, a leading consultancy in the engineering sector, is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join their team. This permanent position sits within the energy industry, particularly focusing on substation, distribution, transmission, and power distribution projects.
Job Responsibilities:
* Lead structural engineering design on major energy infrastructure projects.
* Deliver structural solutions for substations, transmission and distribution facilities, overhead line (OHL) structures, and power stations.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
* Manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and our client's quality processes.
* Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and provide expert guidance.
* Contribute to business development and proposal writing.
* Support the development of best practices and innovation within the team.
Job Requirements:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership.
* Proven experience in structural engineering design and delivery.
* Experience in one or more of the following: substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure, OHL projects, power stations, petrochemical facilities.
* Strong understanding of UK design codes and standards.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to lead and inspire teams.
