Vehicle Installation Electrician

Hours: 4 day week (Monday to Thursday)
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with the company's health and safety policy and procedures in the workshop.
* Maintain the Wrightbus agreed quality standard and ensure all quality sign-offs and procedures are complied with.
* Install the vehicle electrical control system to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
* Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
* Terminate various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
* Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
* Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
* Ensure the installation is completed within the allocated process time.
* Prepare to work overtime when requested by management.
* Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes, including training of others.
Requirements
* Time served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician.
* Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC.
* Capable of reading wiring diagrams.
* Demonstrate experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
* Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Willing to undertake or provide training as required.
* Awareness of general Health and Safety rules.
* Proven ability to be flexible, working overtime and changing shift patterns as required.
