Junior Kitchen Manager – Butlin's Buffets Department, Skegness
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a large team of chefs. You will also take on the Kitchen Manager’s responsibilities in his absence. You are passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and will monitor this regularly, develop action plans in your venue with a focus on continuous improvement. You will have strong leadership skills, conduct daily briefings, manage stock controlling, and review the presentation of food.
Financial performance will be an important part of your role, delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning, cooking to standards and specification. You will also be accountable for food hygiene standards, health and safety, inline with legislation and company policies. You will act as a role model for Butlin’s way of working, ensuring training schedules and performance development plans are in place for your team, inspiring them to deliver a great guest experience.
As the main buffet restaurant serves guests booking a half‑board dining package, you will oversee the team’s performance in a fast‑paced environment serving up to 3,000 guests per service.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Kitchen Manager and step in during absences.
* Conduct daily briefings and supervise a large kitchen team.
* Monitor and improve guest experience, developing action plans as needed.
* Control stock, manage items, and review food presentation.
* Deliver food cost budgets, menu planning, and maintain cooking standards.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and legislation.
* Develop training schedules and performance development plans.
* Manage kitchen margins, controlling costs and maintaining high standards.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar level role with large volume turnover, capable of hosting up to 3,000 guests per service.
* Good time‑management and organisational skills, thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
* Hard‑working, reliable, determined, with a proactive attitude for continuous improvement.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, high‑spirited, and fun‑loving, capable of inspiring the team.
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
* Leadership experience in a busy kitchen, with responsibility for margins, cost control, health and safety, and hygiene.
Working hours: 5‑day week, 5‑day week over 7 days covering 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. The role does not come with onsite accommodation.
Cleaning Team Member – Butlin’s Resort
We are looking for cleaning team members that can provide that extra bit of sparkle to our guests’ holidays by keeping our resort clean, tidy and pristine. if you can go the extra mile we’d love to welcome you to the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean main venues and toilets, including use of electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment.
* Handle chemicals in cleaning, including full training provided.
* Conduct external road cleaning, empty general waste bins and recycling bins.
* Move furniture to accommodate different activities within venues.
* Clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms.
Working Hours
Evening shift – 5 pm – 2 am. Applicants must be over 18. Start and finish times may vary depending on break type.
