Job overview We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Ultrasound Team Lead Sonographer to join our Radiology Department and lead a high‑performing multidisciplinary service. This key leadership role offers a unique opportunity to influence ultrasound delivery across Maternity, associated Community hospitals, and wider hospital wards, ensuring a consistent, safe and patient‑centred ultrasound service. Reporting into our Clinical Lead Radiographer, y ou will lead day-today operational management of Ultrasound services, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of high‑quality imaging across the RUH. This includes optimising the use of staff, equipment, and resources while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care. You will provide operational leadership and undertake strategic planning for Ultrasound services primarily for Maternity at the RUH and community hospitals, but also supporting General Medical imaging You will drive service quality, support your team’s development, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ultrasound provision within a growing and dynamic service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a service that spans multiple specialties and care settings. You will shape ultrasound provision across hospital, maternity and community pathways and contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation and compassionate care. Advert Providing day‑to‑day clinical leadership and supervision for Sonographers across Maternity, Radiology, and community settings. Leading and coordinating ultrasound services across multiple areas Performing a broad range of high‑quality ultrasound examinations including obstetric, gynaecology, abdominal, MSK and vascular (depending on specialism). Supporting multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure timely pathways and excellent patient experience.
