Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Care Assistant to join a reputable nursing home in Cwmbran, providing high-quality care and support to residents with varying needs. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and dignity of residents, while working collaboratively with the care team to deliver person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
5. Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
6. Assist with mobility and transfers, using manual handling techniques and equipment
7. Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
8. Contribute to the creation and implementation of individual care plans, promoting independence and autonomy
9. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
10. Participate in training and development opportunities, enhancing your skills and knowledge in care delivery
Required Skills & Experience
11. 6 months UK based experience as a Care Assistant, preferably in a nursing home or care home setting
12. Manual handling experience and training, with the ability to safely lift and transfer residents
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
14. Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
