Roles and Responsibilities

Targeted Interventions: Delivering high:impact, small:group sessions in synthetic phonics and early number fluency to close attainment gaps.

Pastoral Mentoring: Acting as a key point of contact for pupils requiring emotional regulation support, utilising positive reinforcement and de:escalation techniques.

Inclusion Support: Working closely with the SENCo to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils with diverse learning needs.
*
Classroom Preparation: Creating and organising bespoke sensory and visual resources to support the daily curriculum.
*
Assessment Assistance: Observing and recording pupil milestones, providing the Class Teacher with accurate feedback to inform future lesson planning.

Safety and Safeguarding: Upholding the highest standards of child protection and playground safety during unstructured times.
Requirements
*
Relevant Qualification: Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent degree:level experience).
*
Educational Experience: Demonstrable experience working within a UK primary school or nursery setting.
*
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English, with the ability to build rapport with parents and staff.
*
Proactive Mindset: A self:starter attitude with the ability to use initiative without constant supervision.

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness for a new one via Randstad.
