Pupil Support Officer (Attainment & Equity) - Liberton High School
Salary: £30,188-£34,452 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional).
Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
About the School
Liberton High School is a non-denominational secondary school serving approximately 900 pupils in South East Edinburgh, with plans to grow to about 1100. We collaborate with associated primary schools and are moving into a new community campus by Summer 2026.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the support-for-learning teacher within the Qualifications Hub, providing targeted support to pupils.
* Assist families who may be experiencing challenges related to the cost of living.
* Support identified pupils within the equity cohort to promote attainment equity.
* Contribute to a culture of inclusivity and continuous improvement across the school.
Requirements
* Background checks: Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check; overseas criminal record check if spent 3 or more months outside the UK in the last 5 years.
* Knowledge or experience in pupil support, equity initiatives, or related educational settings.
* Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to demonstrate respectful, integrity-based, and flexible working practices.
