Overview
Health Information Analyst role at NHS Scotland. This position involves providing specialist evidence-based advice to the Health Intelligence Team within the Public Health Directorate. The post requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data manipulation and retrieval from large datasets, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex information. The role may involve travel throughout Tayside.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist evidence-based advice to the Health Intelligence Team within the Public Health Directorate.
* Analyse large datasets, manipulate data, retrieve information, and interpret complex findings.
* Communicate analytical results clearly to stakeholders.
* Be practical, results-focused, flexible, and adaptable to changing demands/workloads.
* Actively seek and digest information and apply it to relevant health intelligence problems.
Qualifications
* Gained specialist knowledge and experience of epidemiological, analytical, and/or statistical techniques through a degree-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Must demonstrate additional relevant specialist knowledge acquired through training and experience to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent.
Additional Information
* Hours of work: 37 hours per week
* Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 months
* Travel required within the Tayside region
