The role is to support the growth of the existing network designing the LAN, WAN, Wifi, and Security within Head Offices, Stores, Distribution Centres and Datacenters. In addition, the network design team will support the design and expansion into cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) providing immediate skills development to ensure the cloud migration project is flawless. This role is based in B&Q Head Office in Eastleigh with flexibility for hybrid working (office 2 – 3 days and home based) with the expectation that there will be occasional travel to other head offices as part of the role based in Lille, France, with clients based all over Europe. Work closely with other Senior Network Engineer to deliver network stability and availability Participate in the support and delivery of projects Designer of network solutions for: Head Offices, Stores, Distribution Centers, Datacentre Support network design into Cloud Contribute to the development of the network roadmap, strategy and standards Design support to projects with network demand Assessment of vendor solutions for technical deliverables and new innovation Awareness of Telecoms industry benchmarks and trends Work with third-party services, partners and external suppliers to provide solutions Identification of opportunities for development of platforms, simplification and cost reduction Cisco: Demonstrated ability in the design and delivery of Cisco infrastructure solutions, with expertise proven in LAN, WAN and Wifi Experience of LAN network systems and protocols, OSPF, BGP, LACP, Trunking, VLANs. Experience of WAN technologies such as MPLS, VPNs and SD-WAN. Palo Alto: Expertise in firewall and security design Knowledge of load balancer and internet proxy A Good understanding of: Video Conferencing, Telephony & Microsoft/O365 Ability to understand the technical environment and able to solve complex problems Proactive, able to work under pressure, pragmatic, agile, and customer oriented Equivalent experience of related professional qualification CCNP At Kingfisher, we value the perspectives that any new team members bring, and we want to hear from you.
