Library Assistant
9 hours per week over two afternoons (Monday and Wednesday), 12.30 – 5pm, school term time.
Pay range 2: £26,522 to £28,742 FTE. Actual salary £5,334.73 to £5,781.27 for 9 hours per week/ 38 weeks per year
We are looking for a Library Assistant to support and promote our thriving Library and more widely our school’s reading for pleasure culture. The role includes working with our Librarian to organise and manage all centralised learning resources including books and other media within the School Library, and to assist students and supervise silent study.
The successful applicant will be a keen and regular reader, with a passion for encouraging reading in young people, and more widely promoting learning and education. They will have a broad knowledge of books/literature that students might enjoy, will be able to set a studious, warm and friendly environment in the Library, and will have strong administrative skills.
