Role Description
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a senior customer facing commercial role responsible for protecting, developing and growing Novograf’s strategic partnerships.
The role combines strategic account leadership, commercial ownership and growth development across Novograf’s most strategic National accounts. The SAM will act as the senior day to day commercial lead across the relationship, ensuring strong client engagement, consistent operational alignment and long-term growth of share of wallet across their estate.
Working closely with operational delivery teams, Project Managers and the Managing Director, the SAM will focus on strengthening partnerships, identifying new opportunities, supporting innovation and ensuring Novograf remains a trusted long-term partner across all areas of delivery.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced account leader with strong commercial instincts, operational awareness and the ability to build trusted senior stakeholder relationships within complex multi-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership:
• Retain senior commercial ownership across specified strategic accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across client organisations.
• Act as the primary commercial escalation and relationship lead across the accounts.
• Protect existing revenue streams while identifying opportunities to increase account penetration and long-term share of wallet.
• Support the development and implementation of strategic account growth plans across both estates.
• Lead regular account review meetings and ensure clear alignment on priorities, expectations and future opportunities.
Commercial Growth & Opportunity Development:
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities across refresh, graphics, maintenance, signage and wider estate investment programmes.
• Work closely with the Managing Director and operational teams to develop commercially competitive proposals and solutions.
• Support innovation discussions, product development opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives across the client estate.
• Drive cross selling and upselling opportunities through strong understanding of client operations and future estate requirements.
• Maintain strong visibility of pipeline opportunities, risks and commercial priorities across both accounts.
Operational Alignment & Delivery Support
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth transition from sales order generation through to implementation and delivery.
• Support operational teams in resolving client issues quickly, professionally and collaboratively.
• Ensure communication between commercial and operational functions remains aligned and client focused.
• Maintain oversight of project performance, customer feedback and service standards across the accounts.
• Support post project reviews and continuous improvement activity where required.
Reporting & Internal Collaboration
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team on account performance, opportunities, risks and client feedback.
• Collaborate closely with design, production, installation and project management teams to support successful project delivery.
• Contribute to wider commercial planning, forecasting and strategic account development activity.
• Support the ongoing development of Novograf’s strategic account management approach and customer experience standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Strategic Account Management
• Proven experience managing large national or multi-site customer accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop long term client relationships and drive revenue growth.
• Experience operating within fast paced customer environments with multiple stakeholders and live operational programmes.
Relationship Management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build credibility and trust with both senior client stakeholders and internal teams.
• Calm, professional and solutions focused approach to customer management.
Commercial & Operational Awareness
• Strong understanding of operational delivery and the importance of aligning commercial commitments with execution capability.
• Experience within graphics, signage, fit out, print, retail, banking or related multi-site sectors would be advantageous.
• Ability to identify opportunities, manage priorities and support commercially sound decision making.
