Sales Manager – Agricultural Sector - Southern Scotland - £45,000 – £50,000 + Company Car + Laptop + Phone
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join a well-established and growing business supplying specialist solutions into the agricultural sector. This is a field based role focused on developing market presence across Southern Scotland. You will be responsible for driving new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to a wide range of agricultural clients. This position would suit a commercially driven individual with strong industry knowledge who enjoys building long term partnerships and working autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the agricultural sector
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve targets
- Build strong, long term relationships with farmers, contractors and agri-businesses
- Represent the business at industry events, shows and exhibitions
- Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of customer service
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
The Candidate:
- Proven sales experience within the agricultural sector
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Commercially driven with a results-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory
- Confident building and maintaining customer relationships
- Well organised with a proactive mindset
- Based within Southern Scotland
- Full UK driving licence (essential)

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
