Senior Transport Planner - Salary & Benefits Competitive salary (DOE) Discretionary bonus 5% employer pension contribution Private healthcare & Death in Service 25 days holiday Bank Holidays Option to buy, sell or bank additional holiday Flexible working arrangements Ongoing training and career development Clear progression opportunities within a growing consultancy Senior Transport Planner - Job Overview Lead and deliver transport planning inputs across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans to support planning applications Undertake junction capacity modelling using PICADY, ARCADY, LINSIG or similar software Manage projects from initial concept through to planning submission Liaise with clients, local authorities, architects and internal engineering teams Support and mentor junior team members, ensuring high technical standards Contribute to fee proposals, workload planning and project programming Ensure all work aligns with current UK policy and guidance including NPPF, DMRB and local transport strategies Senior Transport Planner - Requirements Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline Minimum 4 years' experience within transport planning / development planning Strong understanding of UK planning policy and transport guidance Proficient in software such as Junctions (PICADY/ARCADY), LinSig and TRICS Strong report writing and communication skills Ability to manage projects independently and liaise with stakeholders Chartered status (or working towards - CIHT, TPS, ICE) desirable Why Apply?
