In Children’s Services the front line professionals do the most important work by protecting and supporting children, young people and the families we work with but our colleagues can’t do their best work without the support from our services.
As an adviser in the Employee Experience (EE) team you will support on employee relations (early intervention) matters, retention and development activities including induction, onboarding, and engagement alongside health and wellbeing.
This role allows for a hybrid working model, splitting your time between one of our offices (2 days) and working from home, in line with our Future Space strategy.

About the role
As an Adviser, you will play a key role in enhancing the experience of staff across the organisation. Working closely with your direct manager and Business Partners to coordinate and deliver a range of impactful projects, including; Employee Relations (early intervention), Health and Wellbeing offers, Workforce Surveys, Coaching, mentoring, and leadership development support packages. Duties of the role will include (see job profile):
* Ensure EE activities and events are delivered efficiently and on schedule, supporting our goal of building a skilled and motivated workforce.
* Contribute to better outcomes for children, young people, and families by supporting employee development and engagement.
* Collaborate with Business Partners to proactively manage employee relations matters.
* Work in partnership with colleagues across the Workforce Development service to evaluate the effectiveness of EE activities and recommend and implement improvements where needed.
* Bring strong communication skills, a proactive approach to project delivery, and a genuine passion for improving the employee journey.

We’re looking for someone with experience in employee relations, organisational development, learning and development, or HR, who also brings a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and is passionate about championing these values in everything they do.
You will bring experience and skills in the following areas:
* Experience organising, advertising, facilitating and supporting events e.g. conferences, presentations, meetings, including virtual delivery.
* Good analytical skills, able to monitor and report on activity to support team reporting processes.
* Experience working alongside professionals across public and voluntary sector organisations and other professional disciplines to achieve a shared goal.
* Ability to provide appropriate support and solutions, to achieve good outcomes and to understand how and when to escalate matters appropriately.
