About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Adult's Performance and Data Team as a Performance and Planning Officer. In this role, you'll be primarily working on information relating to Adult Social Care and will have the opportunity to develop your skills in handling data to support and implementing departmental strategies.
This is a fixed term position until January-2027 covering a maternity leave vacancy. Secondments will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide statistical analysis and other information to support management decision making within the Department and fulfil corporate obligations for the provision of performance indicators within the Council.
You will build and produce regular and ad hoc written reports, including tabular and graphical representations of data for a range of audiences on topics relating to Adult Social Care.
You will liaise with other departments within the Council and professional bodies, such as: Other Corporate reporting teams, Departmental Directors and NHS England.
You will undertake analysis of specific issues where routine information does not exist and participate in working groups set up to investigate such issues, implementing strategies in response to information needs.
About The Team You'll Be Working In
The Performance and Data Team (Adults) provides statistical and other information to support management decision making within the department and to fulfil statutory obligations for the provision of performance data within the Department, and takes a lead role in the collection, collation, analysis and interpretation of statistical information on Adult Social Care to support the effective delivery of the performance and improvement agenda.
About You

You will have high level ICT skills, preferably with experience in supporting software system users.
You will have the ability to extract and manipulate data sources for analysis, including database reporting software.
You will be able to work and communicate effectively with partner agencies and organisations.
You will have good numeracy and reasoning skills.
Essential For The Role
You will have a background in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, financial analysis, research, or performance management.
Basic DBS check is required for the role.
