About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and compassionate
Occupational Health Advisor
to join our team and lead the delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based occupational health service. You will play a pivotal role in protecting, promoting, and enhancing the health and wellbeing of our employees, working in close partnership with HR and Operational teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead the site wellbeing programme, influence strategic health initiatives, and make a real difference to our people and culture.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and manage the
Occupational Health Technician, ensuring effective delivery of:
Pre-employment health screening
Routine and return-to-work health surveillance
Agency worker assessments (where applicable)
Provide expert
medical advice
on employee capability and fitness for work through the management referral process.
Facilitate referrals to
company-funded physiotherapy
and
Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) .
Collaborate with HR and Operations to
proactively manage long-term absence
and support rehabilitation.
Deliver
monthly reporting
on absence trends and health surveillance to site and head office.
Design and implement
health promotion campaigns
aligned with the site and group wellbeing strategy.
Attend
Occupational Health team meetings
(some travel to other sites will be required).
Communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues at all levels, as well as external medical professionals and service providers.
Provide advice on complex cases to support employees'
return to work
and sustained recovery.
What We're Looking For
Registered General Nurse (RGN)
with Occupational Health experience in a commercial setting.
Car driver with own vehicle, as you will be required to split your 3 days per week between Worksop and Barnsley
Strong clinical competence in
diagnosis, treatment, and first aid .
Experience in
health promotion
- from planning to evaluation.
Skilled in
health assessments, including pre-employment, post-sickness, and rehabilitation.
Confident in
data collection, analysis, and trend reporting .
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
