Senior Family Support Worker (Fixed Term)
Location: Stranraer, Dumfries & Galloway
Dumfries & Galloway’s Specialised Children’s Teams have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Family Worker to join the Youth Justice team. This is a 22-month fixed-term full-time position (36 hours per week). The base is in the West of the region; however, you may be expected to work across the region.
This post may be suitable for attachment; agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying.
You will join an established region-wide team dedicated to building relationships with some of the region’s most vulnerable young people. The role focuses on delivering multi-agency group work interventions in schools and early effective interventions (EEI) to divert young people from conflict with the law.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with the ability to work flexibly, collaboratively, and independently.
If you are enthusiastic, creative, motivated, and committed to supporting young people both in group settings and on a 1-1 basis, and have an understanding of youth offending, we would love to hear from you.
We offer a commitment to your professional development, including regular reflective supervision, group supervision, peer support, and team development sessions.
