Job Title: Account Manager / Business Development Manager (Drinks Industry)
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + 20% annual bonus

Role Purpose
To deliver the agreed budgeted margin within your designated postcode territory by growing sales, expanding the active customer base, and maximising revenue from existing accounts. You will represent the business in your region, driving commercial performance, building strong customer relationships, and bringing valuable market insights back into the organisation.
A background in the drinks industry is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve commercial targets, including your contribution to depot or regional gross margin.
Grow the territory by meeting pre-agreed new business acquisition targets.
Retain and develop existing accounts, increasing spend through effective category selling and up-selling initiatives.
Manage the debt ledger for your area, ensuring timely payment collection and accurate account documentation.
Deliver brand performance targets across key and drive brands in collaboration with brand partners.
Provide outstanding customer service, consistently exceeding expectations.
Take full ownership of customer accounts, ensuring effective end-to-end account management.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Telesales, Credit Control, Sales Support, Distribution, and Administration.
Organise technical installations for draught beer dispensing equipment where required.
Offer impartial promotional and commercial advice, helping customers grow their businesses.
Maintain strong relationships with brand representatives operating within your area.
Promote the company's own-brand products to enhance value and drive growth.Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential: Proven experience within the drinks industry (on-trade preferred).
Strong commercial background with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
Confident communicator with strong influencing abilities.
Competent user of Microsoft Excel for reporting and spreadsheets.
WSET Level 2 qualification (preferred).
Experience selling wine in the on-trade is highly advantageous.
