We are seeking a Band 6 Qualified in Specialty neonatal nurse for a Clinical Practice Facilitator role, working two days a week in the Practice Development Team and the remaining hours on the NICU roster to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate learning and professional development for NMAHPs and CSWs in clinical areas and learners on clinical placements, directed by the Divisional Education Lead.
* Collaborate with education colleagues across the organisation to share best practice, ensuring a positive placement experience.
* Provide supervision and support for all unregistered/registered staff and learners, promoting evidence‑based practice.
* Provide professional training and development through formal and informal teaching in classroom and clinical settings.
* Support and promote lifelong learning by providing educational resources, implementing clinical supervision, and encouraging reflective practice.
* Audit clinical practice where required and ensure that any risks relating to quality are escalated.
* Support clinical teams in maintaining a centralised database of current skills and competencies and address any shortfalls.
* Collaborate to coordinate and deliver Trust‑wide education activities (induction, preceptorship, skill development, medical devices training, competence sign‑off).
* Contribute to the delivery of education provided by the CUH Academy to internal and external delegates.
Qualifications
Band 6, Qualified in Specialty neonatal nursing.
