The Saga Marketing team is recruiting an expert Travel Copywriter! You will work with a creative travel marketing team, producing high-quality copy for Saga and Titan Travel’s online and offline channels, focusing on accuracy, tone of voice, inspiration, and creativity.
Our copywriters have the opportunity to creatively showcase our unique itineraries and destinations, including tailor-made tours and hosted stays.
If you are a talented travel writer experienced in producing high volumes of copy under tight deadlines, demonstrating diligence, this role could be ideal for you!
We operate a hybrid working model at Saga, combining remote work with in-office presence at Folkestone/Crawley at least twice a week.
Role Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
1. Create engaging copy according to briefs and deadlines across various brand communications.
2. Own the writing of copy for all channels: brochures, advertising, email, web, promotions, and Saga Magazine.
3. Champion the brands by writing, adapting, and editing content in line with our content strategy and tone of voice.
4. Collaborate with designers to ensure cohesive marketing responses that bring ideas to life.
5. Update all copy across contact points to ensure consistency.
6. Conduct research to produce original, engaging, and factually accurate content with a journalistic style.
7. Plan and execute delivery with effective collaboration across teams.
8. Engage with Content Lead, Marketing, and Product teams to meet deadlines.
9. Ensure copy approval through proper channels and update systems (CMS, workflow management) to track progress.
10. Manage workload proactively to meet all deadlines.
11. Maintain a flexible, enthusiastic, and driven approach aligned with the business’s financial goals.
The Ideal Candidate
Candidates should have experience in the travel industry as a credible travel writer, with demonstrated work either in-house or agency-side. First-hand travel experience is highly desirable, along with:
* Excellent writing skills — grammar, punctuation, tone, positioning.
* Understanding of tour operating and travel industry nuances.
* Experience writing for web, with SEO knowledge.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Highly organized, able to work independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to keep products up-to-date and consistent across channels.
* Entrepreneurial, journalistic, and inquisitive mindset.
Desirable qualifications include a degree in journalism, marketing, or creative writing, and experience with CMS systems like FileMaker Pro.
